"Wow, things that matter"

"Things that Matter".... 

I just can't wait to read this book!  As I listen to this interview .. on one of my most favorite shows Super Soul Sunday I am truly amazing at this man's experience of his time enduring one of the most greatest natural disasters of our time, I am completely impressed and touched by his deep reflection, intuition, perception of things, soul and design.

Its kind of sad in a way.. to really come to a complete understanding of things only after a life threatening experience.  But God has the plan for all of us ... I truly believe this.. so take each day as a REAL treasure... cherish it, learn from it, love it.... be the person God wants you to be...

Wow, people sure dont act or treat you the way you think they will!!!

I've had many friends and acquaintances through the years... but it never ceases to amaze me how this world is sooo full of sooooo many different kinds of people...  I am the kind of person that will pretty much do ANYTHING.. I possibly can for someone.  To help, listen, explain.. have a shoulder for them to cry on.. sympathize and ONLY if asked would I give any type of advice..  

BUT, advice is a tricky thing... and I guess MY type of advice is more sympathizing ... somehow I feel that I know myself, that I feel better if someone can tell me that they have been through the same event.   I feel more human, not so isolated.. and that they can really relate to this situation I am going through.  I try to compassionately listen and put myself in the other person's shoes.. 

All in all though... as far as I can tell through the years I've been alive... no matter how you cut it ... you just can't predict, judge or REALLY know what each other is going through on the "inside"... all we can really go by is what is presented on the outside.. So all we can do is our BEST to be happy with what we have and what God has blessed EACH and EVERYONE of us with... 

Because whether we know it or not we are ALLL BLESSED...

Happy New Year!!! Happy 2013!!!  
Wow... seems like these years seem go soooooo quickly!! 

Dont ya just love the New Year... full of NEW and exciting beginnings... positivity, creativity, love, courage and ENCOURAGEMENT... !! There are so many New Years changes, commitments and RESOLUTIONS .. that come and go with nothing being done.  I know this because.. I am probably the biggest offender I know!! LOL!! Even this year.. these very past days.. and even starting for me NEW YEARS DAY!!  I'm really not sure what makes us do this.  Some say they are stuck in a rut or just plain really dont want it enough!  Personally, not wanting "it" enough is probably the most accurate but the hardest to accept.  Guess we just have to do like NIKE.... "Just Do it!!"

I'm TOTALLY amazed...

I am TOTALLY amazed at people... these days... !!  I lived in South Florida for years... and knew that it was a "melting pot" as such ... for all different kinds of people... mostly because of the weather... but living HERE in Hawaii.. is a 100 times more magnified!!! The weather here is completely amazingly consistently tropical in every sense.. but to live here you MUST come with a plan.. FOR SURE.. The cost of living is much more here.. but more importantly you find all different levels of living here..  There are people working 2 and three jobs to make ends meet and there are people who have huge magnificent homes that they probably dont see but two or three times a year...!!!  CRAZY life we lead...

But the main thing I think I've learned in these past years.. is "Happiness comes from the inside and through a very strong faith in God!!! I see people all the time.. with all the wealth, material things, homes all over the country, expensive cars, and every gadget there is.. but when I look in their eyes.. all I see is sadness.  They're lost.  Drowning in the sorrow of "stuff!" God gives us things everyday to show us and guide us.... He wants us to enjoy our lives... live each day in the moment ....... Past is Past.. the PRESENT IS NOW!!! 
Be thankful for what you have right this moment .. cause money and stuff is just that money and stuff..!!  Remember to cherish the moments.. and put out there what you want to receive...

In whatever language... I always find prayers are always comforting and my way of speaking with God...

I know today if it weren't for my very strong faith in God... I wouldn't be here today..  and I make it a point to thank Him everyday for all my life is.. 

Today would have been my Father's 80th birthday... its seems weird and different that he's gone.. it almost seems like just the other day he was quizzing me on current events... (I still dont pay attention too much to them)
Life is a crazy thing and moves so fast through our days.. one day we're 16 the next we're 36 ..

Its important to cherish every moment .. for it contributes to our canvas of life...

Ke aloha o ke Akua e kîpuni mai iâ kâkou.
The love of God enfolds us.

Ka mana o ke Akua e ho`opakele mai iâ kâkou.
The power of God protects us.

Ke alo o ke Akua e mâlama mai iâ kâkou.
The presence of God watches over us.

Ma kahi â kâkou, e hele aku ai he Akua nô.
Wherever we are, God is.

Amene.

So remember in any language, God is still here for us ..

Hmmm... just sayin... 

NEVER take love for granted... is a very strong and meaningful statement...

Everyone has been created differently and uniquely by our Creator and God.. like individual petals of a flower intricately fitting together.. this very fact makes our world a very unique place to live.... with that being said we all should remember that each person shows their emotions and especially our love in different ways... and should NEVER be taken for granted... 

Our lives and experiences take us through many different circumstances, challenges and relationships ... ALL of these together create each of us individually...  it is like the same concept as our own human bodies.. and how all of our organs, veins, arteries are perfectly and uniquely assembled individualizing each of us...

Sometimes we don't all get along because of our uniqueness... and therefore creating jealousy, envy, disappointment, frustration and even anger... but .. its during these times... we must remember what each of us REALLY mean to each other... and what we really represent to each other... seriously.. NEVER take each other's uniqueness of showing love for granted... 

Just sayin...

Aloha to everyone...


There are sooooo many things in life that keep us extremely busy... and we forget the things we like to do most...  


Its again, an end to another school year.. kids are growing so quickly .. and times sure are changing very quickly.. I think I've noticed more this year than any other.. that due to this extremely lousy economy there are alot of people moving, having to sell.. and/or scaling down and trying to save money.  I think we all may face making sacrifices in some way or another.  But the main thing we really must remember is that it is really all "just stuff!" I think during all our lifetimes we all got caught up in obtaining "stuff" in our lives.. whether its personal items, items and gadgets for our homes..or just plain old "keeping up with the Jones' type syndrome."  


What I have learned through all of this is to be thankful for all I DO HAVE... for having my health, family,  and my very deep faith in God.. is really all I need...
