Checking it out

I'm really into art and one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend is to go from gallery to gallery checking out what's new on the scene. I'm especially into mosaics and sculpture work, but those are few and far between in my smaller town, so often I have to get online and look up art shows in neighboring cities. I recently subscribed to CLEAR-INTERNET so I'm always connected, which is nice because I can look up whether or not a certain city has a sculpture show if I'm just driving throu! gh. All my friends think I'm crazy for spending so much time inside of galleries, but one day I hope to become a successful artist myself, so I consider it just doing research! Maybe one of these days I'll convince my friends to come with me to an opening, but that's not very likely. Perhaps one of the shows where there's an open bar and free food… That might get them there! No matter, art is my passion and that's never not going to be the case.

Age is just a NUMBER!!

Well I know its been awhile... but teenagers really keep you busy...!!  I really don't know how Mothers take care of more than one child at a time...

Anyway... there seems to have been alot going on ... with Spring Break and all... but between you and I ... I'm glad school is back in session... 

It seems as though ... this time has gone soooo fast and cant believe that my daughter will be going to high school already next year... it really does seem like I was just buying pampers ... and now its maxi pads!!! 

I guess when its all said and done.. its all linked to having a bit of a hard time dealing with growing older myself... but I think if we surround ourselves with young ideas and continuing to challenge ourselves .. mentally, educationally and physically along with encouraging ourselves not to whimper at every ache and pain.. we can keep ourselves as young as possible...

Whats new to write about...??

I LOVE to write... but today I find that I am a loss of what to write about.. so many things that are happening in the world.. and I'm at a loss for words....

I have been researching for the last few years and trying to find real "writing" jobs so that I can explore more avenues of writing... and or blogging..   I think I would like to be able to write a daily column in a local or online newspaper or readers corner .. and develop a real "readers following".. and I don't plan to give up until I can do this.. I know I've said this many times before... but I would really love the job of "Carrie" on Sex in the City... I know that I would absolutely love that job!!!

Its funny, I was just reading this morning .. and maybe this would be a good writing prompt to start with... here goes.....

"If I had a million dollars.. I would ______...
 Wow... thats alot to fill in ..!!  Well....I would make sure that all my family were taken care of... then I would invest more in my "wellness" company.. and more in my artwork... expand, get more supplies... take the time to make sure my stuff is being recognized... then take plenty of writing classes .. and
"Start my Column"!!! I'm not sure really what it would be about.. but a real live probably "daily" column where people would be on edge EVERY DAY... to find out what I would be writing next!! That sure would be AWESOME!!


Then I would definitely donate some money to the Humane Society.. and the homeless.. and make sure to take a spa/yoga retreat for at least a month!!!  

So I will continue to write what is on my mind and in my heart.... and keep my faith the God will give me the desires of my heart... and with that being said I continue on my writing quest...

Weekends go tooooo fast..

 
Weekends and or time off.. goes wayyyyyy toooo fast... Why is that anyway ??? It must be some kind of a phenomenon or something!!! ... I had plans to do sooo much.. don't you just hate it when you go into some time off.. and have all these great intentions.. starting a book, working on an online course, working on one of my new portraits..... and the time just seemed to fly away... and its already Monday......!!!  There just has to be some way to fix this... 

At least I have Monday off as well... hoping to actually do something productive and creative... Being creative ... really makes me feel alive.. and I think thats what has been bothering me now for awhile... that and just having a little "ME" time...!!! I really don't even remember ... what it is now.. !!  But I'm going into tomorrow with great intentions... and going to let the creativity floooowwwwwww... and here we goooooo another book I would just love to read! It just never fails.. every time I turn around .. there something more I want to paint, another book, another course.... but there never seems to be enough time......

I guess we just need to enjoy and BE CREATIVE!!

Just another day...

Aloha ... I know I haven't kept my promise in blogging EVERY DAY... but soon there will be another new month to start over... I will and am planning to post every single day... even if its just a sentence or two... so stay tuned...!!!

A nice relaxing Sunday.....

Hanging with Herbert.............He actually let me sleep in today.... after getting up at 6:30am first, of course... but then we slept till 10am!!  It was totally awesome... and so comforting to feel fur against us again!!!   He's such a cutie pie!!!  Its only been a week... and we have been thrown into the "perils of puppyhood"!!!  Craziness... chewing, waking up during the night... but its okay.. He really is terribly cute with a perfect personality!!!!!! I'm so looking forward to seeing him grow.. and teaching him new things...He's even already picked up "High Five".. !! We love him sooooo much!!

A New Gameplan..!!!!!!

A new year ... of fresh POSITIVE new beginings!!!!! Out with the old and in with the new!!!   Its been a little bit since my last post... last year ended quite depressing.. to say the least with the loss of many loved ones and many personal and family struggles.  I returned in a way to my strong faith in God... and He was the only one that got me through.  So I am excited and very glad for positive"new beginnings" for our New Year 2011!! 

I'm starting a new book .. I know again.. you say.. but I really do love books...Suzanne Somers is AWESOME.. and I have read most of her books or are in the midst of them.   I am surrounded by my books always.. and I always have at least three or four things to read with me at all times... People think I'm nuts with all the stuff I bring with me all the time.. but I guess its just a habit.. of always having something to do at all times... 

Creativity, reading and writing... are my passions... and it seems that there is never enough time to do these things... so this year .. I am going to MAKE TIME.. !!!  I am also beginning to take some online courses.. in memory of my years in college.. I LOVE LEARNING.. and saturating my mind in new things.. 

We are also in the "great search" for a new furry addition to our family... and this will then lead into a major and much needed exercise change for me..!!  I can't wait!!!

So POSITIVE POWER... !! and POSITIVE PRAYERS, THOUGHTS AND DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE...!!!
