I AM EVOLVING....

I "AM" EVOLVING...  and I AM EXCITED ... about my new adventure in my artwork... !!! This gift portrait has been weighing on my mind for quite sometime.. and through some very genuine encouragement from some of my new artist fB friends.... I have "evolved" direction and style..   At first is was pretty difficult to even try to get the dimension I was looking for.. but after a second detailed look at things... and some great pointers and hints... I'm pleased thus far with my progress... Eww sounds like a progress report from school..... but I truly am encouraged with my even little bit of progress... I think I'm made a great step forward to making my subjects look much more real and life like... !!  I was very frustrated last night and literally applied my frustrations.. ....TO THE PAPER!!!  A special "Thank You" to my wonderful artist friendss !!!

Looking forward to more and more...

Movies

This guest post from Lewis Beck
I cannot remember the last time I went to the movie theater to see a movie. When my husband and I started having kids, I could not bare to leave them with a babysitter for more than two hours, and I would much rather go out to dinner during those two hours than pay a fortune at the movie theater. I was glad when we got Direct TV channels because my husband and I started having movie date nights after our kids went to bed. There are so many movies available to watch, and the good thing is if we start watching one that we do not like, we can always turn it off or watch a different movie. We would never walk out of a movie we disliked at the movie theater because it is so expensive to go to a movie. It is nice that we can stay at home for our date night too. Babysitters can get expensive, and I feel much more relaxed being there at home with our kids in case anything should happen. We still make it a point to go out to dinner at least twice per month without our kids because it is nice to get out of the house.
